It’s December 2020!

I just happen to realized this morning that indeed, it is December and the last month of the year. Ironically, it is also my last month of being single. Lol

Its actually pretty crazy to think that AA and I get married in a month. Its nothing like what we imagined our wedding day to actually be but, I am very excited to finally married to my bestfriend even if it is a quarantine wedding. Guys please pray so that CMCO will be over soonest possible. Bcs this is gonna be my first wedding ever (the first wedding ceremony in my family).

Our preparation is almost 90% done. With the current CMCO situation, there are certain things that make it pending. I dont want to postpone the wedding not bcs I am gatal so much but its bcs it will affect many parties. You know what it is right especially the borang nikah, it has an expired date. Other else, ofcos I wanna settle everything for my wedding (solemnization & receptions) asap so that we can focus for our next phase of life.

I see my friends doing it and things keep changing and I wish I can make it better for them. Sad but they are strong enough to face it..

In shaa Allah, may Allah ease everything for me and everyone. Hang in there bride-to-be’s!

Wedding Preparation : The hantaran

Today AA and I went to One Utama and The Curve to have our shopping spree trip for our hantaran. So naturally buying the hantaran gifts has been such an exciting experience for me. And... for him. I guess? Before we decided to go for a shopping, we have planned and decided on what to buy for the hantaran.

First and foremost, we discussed on what are the items to be exchanged and how many trays involved. It is advisable to go together when doing the shopping aite. Last time, our engagement hantaran were 12 sets of dulang hantaran altogether where having 7 trays from my side and 5 trays from AA. Hence for the wedding, we decided to keep the same trays bcs money is almost always a problem isnt it? But thank God, we grabbed the sale day opportunity at OU and AA managed to buy quite a lot of items for a cheaper price. Even its only 7 and 5 trays of our hantaran yet we still confused and dont know what items to buy. Haha!

So whats next?

Yeayy to the hantaran decoration. This is kind of the best part I think. Initially, we just want a simple hantaran terbuka like people can see the items of the hantaran. But eventually we decided to do a hidden hantaran. Cos I think its more neat and tidy yet so classic. Let everyone wonder what items are in the boxes hehehe. Im going to take this challenge and decorate them myself. But ofcos I need to drag my mom into this project.

Awhh its too beautiful to see. You guys can google for more hidden hantaran as reference okayy.

Review Everdeens HD cream

Check out Everdeens

Since I was 19, I started looking for a foundation that suits my facial skin. I have a very severe dry skin problem. I also easily get sunburn if I stay under the sun even in a minutes.

While I was studying in Melaka, I spent a lot of my ptptn money on buying foundation. But unfortunately, I didnt use all the foundations that I bought bcs it did not suit me. Until one day, I gambled myself buying a foundation on Instagram. Girlss I know I always promise myself not to buy any local products especially on Instagram. Never. But this time around I cant stop myself from buying it.

Well its all started in 2016 where I found this so called local product by Everdeens. I wore it and for the first time I fell in love with this HD Cream foundation. Whats most important is that this foundation has been equipped with SPF. So I no longer need to wear sunblock even though I know sunblock is very important for our daily basis. So yall please dont skip your sunblock and dont be lazy like me.

Ive been wearing this HD Cream since 2016 until now. And now girlss Everdeens has improved their HD cream which I like it so much. Fyi, it is formulated  from Korea so you guys should give it a try!

My skin type :
- Super dry skin.

Thats it. I dont have acne, scars or etc. I only have to deal with my dry skin and I guess this is the only foundation that suit to my skin. Other than that, of course la I have to take an extra care by wearing moisturizer and all.

So thats all I think. I just wanna give a shout out to Everdeens. Bcs I myself didnt realize that I have been so loyal to wear this foundation for 4 years now haha.

* Gaiss I have Nars foundation too okay. I do have Urban Decay. Dont judge! haha

Wedding Preparation : First fitting

Disclaimer; Not us

Today AA and I went to Bangi for fitting session. Not really fitting, I mean this is actually our first time went to bridal boutique. We visited a well known bridal boutique. During our visit, we had a really awkward experience bcs this has been truly our first time in a bridal boutique and the first time we stepped on a wedding dress lol. I felt so nervous and excited at the same time.

My experience at the bridal boutique was wonderful! Wardah was our stylist and she was so kind and helpful. I came in with a dream dress that I showed from my phone that I really wanted to try on and she tracked it down for me. It ended up being the one I picked. She was so positive and supportive with how I looked and my opinion of each of the dresses. Guess, I must lose weight harder bcs I want to really look beautiful in that dress sobss. AA as usual looking so handsome and charming. He doesnt have to try hard to look good. Im so jealous with him though.

Meanwhile, I felt a little sad bcs my parents couldnt came along. But I am so grateful and thankful that mama and abah gave me full trust and support in choosing this boutique. Abah.. thank you so much for everything even for sponsoring this.

Next time we will go again to the boutique and Ill make sure mama and abah will come along and to be the first to see us in wedding dress. *shyyyy*

May Allah ease everything.

Wedding Preparation : Nikah attire

Today after almost a week of waiting, my wedding dress finally arrived at the office. At first, I was wonder what the first thing to buy for my wedding. Bcs I think I wanna keep saving and buy all the necessities for my wedding at once. But then when I think back its better for me to buy a little bit so that I dont feel burdened at the end later.

Yall know when I was searching for my nikah attire, I was on a tight budget and super anxious about saving money where I could. For that reason, I looked for frugal alternatives in every category possible. In that case, I did a lot of surveys and looked for suitable baju for the nikah ceremony. Its so many beautiful dresses on Instagram that idk which one to choose. I have to be smart in buying clothes. Usually a beautiful dress is definitely expensive isn't it?

I really wanted a white colour or off white colour for my nikah. I asked my fiance to buy his baju melayu first bcs I think we girl has a lot of choice in terms of designs and colours. Luckily, he found his in off white colour. I found mine too and Im so happy Alhamdulillah. I choose baju kurung modern bcs I think it looks classy and elegant. Yall better wait for it kay hehe.

Updated:

I also bought a veil from Shopee. I bought a white shoes also in Shopee. Shopee is the best way to shop bcs its cheap cheap cheap. So yeah, my nikah attire is complete I guess.

Lets survey for others upcoming wedding things!

Selamat Hari Raya!

4:15 am
Ramadhan has just passed. Today is already 24th May 2020 where we will celebrate Hari Raya after a month of fasting. At the moment, Im still wide awake because I couldnt sleep. Fyi, Im already at my kampung. Feeling so safe and sound, like its literally so different.

I know kita tak boleh rentas negeri. I pun tak rentas negeri. Just so yall know my kampung is also in Selangor. But nak balik kampung dekat Johor memang tak boleh. I feel so sad cos this raya will not be the same as raya celebrations in the past.

I will miss my cousins so much. Usually malam raya we will play bunga api and mercun together. Pergi expo raya and pergi Mcd dekat Sungai Besar. Rumah nenek pun akan pack gila dengan almost semua cousins balik. But this time around kita dah decided untuk tak semua family balik kampung. Sekarang ni my family, fatin's and irfan's family je yang balik since kitorang dalam negeri yang sama. Hmm

While visiting during raya will not be allowed like in previous years, I guess we can still meet via video calls right?

Salam sayang.

Post Engagement : The plan

I had a hard time keeping my lips sealed on this one but I really wanted to spend some time fully soaking up the fact we're seriously engaged. So, I think it was nice just to have this to ourselves for a little! I had a pretty good feeling we’d get engaged but I never expected it would happen this fast. Today, I would like to summarize about how we planned and decided to get engaged.

AA and I have been friend for nearly 6 years. Its crazy to look back at what the past years brought and taught us. We learned to get to know each other longer and closer. He was actually my classmate, my study mate bestfriend and boyfriend. He was always there when I was in pain, sick and sad even until now. He's always make me annoyed with him and also the best person who always made me laugh. Tell me how can I not love him? But did he ever propose to me? Nope.

Kita tak pernah declare nak couple, jom couple or apa-apa jelah like other couples do. We were just like a bestfriend during our study time. Around in December 2019, we had a serious talk. We both talked about engaged, married and our future plan. Frankly speaking, we've talked a few times about this before, but this time our conversation was more serious and deep. I think its bcs maybe we are matured enough to think about this?.

Then, in the mid of January 2020 we both have decided to get engaged in June (approximately after raya). But then, the plans we have set have changed unintentionally. We no longer think long and have taken our plans and set our engagement date on 29th February 2020. He said he will bring his family within this or next month. On the 1st February, he and his family came to my house for merisik. Just a simple discussion with both families.

So within 3 and a half weeks, I had to sort everything off accordingly. In such a short time, I had to find a hall, catering, pelamin, my baju, and hantaran. So grateful that everything was made easy. An endless thank you to my parents for helping me so much. I owe them my life. I love them so much!!

So thats it. Everything was unplanned. Bur for our big day, we already save the date for our wedding. In Shaa Allah slowly but surely.

P/s: I know bertunang should be diam-diam antara dua pihak. I have to admit, at first I really wanna take it as a secret, nobody cannot know that we're engaged. But Im a human too. I just wanna share like everybody too. Well, at least they know that I am reserved :)

My Engagement Day

I engaged to my bestfriend!

Alhamdulillah AA and I are engaged! Yeay kitorang dah bertunang!

Today is the day that AA and I got engaged. All the preparations such as attire, dais, catering, hall, dulang hantaran were booked and made as planned. Alhamdulillah, Im so grateful and thankful that everything went perfectly smooth.

I only wore Baju kurung pahang that I bought from my friend Intan. As a shy person, lack of confidence and just love something simple, I'd rather just wear normal baju kurung, shawl and not wear a crown on my head. Because I think it just bertunang and not kahwin right so why bother. Makeup? Yes, I did put a minimal makeup on my face :)

Regarding the pelamin. As I said earlier it just bertunang and not kahwin. Initially, I myself doesnt even want a pelamin on my E-day. But, my mom wants a pelamin really bad tho. As a good daughter, I obeyed all her wishes. However, I literally not regret with that because I love the pelamin so much. It was immensely beautiful that I cant even imagine it will be that perfect. Its like a prefect red rose. You would not know how much I love red rose like I wrote in this entry.

My E-day was held at Dewan Humaira TTDI. I lovee the hall so much. The food also is freakin delicious. The main dishes is Kurma daging. Okay. In the meantime before the majlis started, I was with the rest of family were patiently waiting for AA and his family to arrive. They came all the way from Johor, Perak and Beranang Selangor. I know it was a sincere and meaningful effort from him and his big family to come from afar to Damansara. I am so grateful for that Ya Allah.

He gave me 5 sets of dulang hantaran and I balas him with 7 sets of dulang hantaran. We both wore Maroon colour for our attires. Just a simple E-day like everybody else. At there, I was able to meet and get to know his family and relatives more closely. I took a photo with his parents, siblings, aunties and his cousins. I felt so welcoming to his family eventho I had previously been to his house at Batu Pahat and met his family, I still feel very welcome as a future new joiner into his family.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The people, the place, the foods. From start to finish, it was incredible and memorable day. Alhamdulillah. May Allah ease our journey together. So, AA and I are taking it to the next level! In Shaa Allah end of this year. Please pray for us!
